This puree is very aromatic, delicious and refreshing. Oregano has been used medicinally for thousands of years to treat digestive problems. This chilled puree is an excellent accompaniment for heavy meat dishes.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
2 medium size cucumbers
4 Tablespoons unsweetened Greek yogurt
2 Tablespoons orange flower water
½ Lemon juiced
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon dried oregano leafs
Peel the cucumbers and grate them in a thin cheese grater. Add the Greek yogurt, orange flower water, lemon juice, sugar and oregano leaves.
Mix with a spoon. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve alone as a refreshing summer puree or as an accompaniment to a warm and spicy dish.
